Overview of Sunny Glen

Sunny Glen Children’s Home was established in 1936 as a charitable, not for profit, organization with the goal of providing Christian childcare for dependent, neglected and abused children. As society changes, Sunny Glen Children’s Home continuously adapts its services to meet the increasingly complex needs of future generations of children.

Our current programs reflect and address the unique circumstances, demands and needs children have in today’s society. Sunny Glen Children’s Home offers children in our care:

  • 24-hour supervision in a safe, structured group home setting
  • Spiritual development
  • Case management
  • Psycho-educational group counseling
  • Individual therapy
  • Allied health-care services after school tutorial programs
  • College tuition assistance (when applicable)
  • An adventure-based ropes course
  • A quality public school education where academic excellence is encourage

How Sunny Glen is funded

Sunny Glen Children’s Home is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is supported in part by donations from: private individuals, Church of Christ,
civic organizations and the Texas Department of Family and Protective
Services. The vast majority of funding comes from private donors.
