Residential care

Sunny Glen Children's Home was founded to provide neglected and abused children a safe and loving environment that emphasizes Christian values and the American work ethic. Our staff of specially qualified individuals is committed to the children’s physical, spiritual, and emotional growth and well-being.  The Home provides long-term residential care, a variety of counseling services and supervised development programs while pursuing the goal of family reunification.

Sunny Glen is a residential childcare facility licensed by the state of Texas with the capacity to care for up to 32 children, infant to seventeen years of age.  We serve our children by providing a family setting in our four residential homes. Each residence is home to up to eight children and we staff each home with a surrogate mother and father, known as houseparents. Houseparents are responsible for watching over and mentoring our children.

Sunny Glen Children’s Home also offers counseling services for children who need them. Through these services, we provide individual, group and family counseling. We do so with the hope that the children placed in our care will be able to overcome some of their problems and take steps toward being ready for our ultimate goal of bringing families back together.
