Our Foster Care Program in San Benito offers a safe refuge for children who have been neglected, abandoned, forgotten, or abused. Our San Benito Campus is focused on housing foster children with an emphasis on keeping sibling groups together while also focusing on the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of these most vulnerable members of our society. We do this so that these children can know that there are adults whom they can trust, and that their worth as individuals is not dictated by their circumstances. Most of all, we do this to let them know that they are loved and worthy of respect and God’s love.
The Monte and Amy Allen House focuses on preparing older youth (aged 18-22) for the often scary transition from foster care to adulthood by providing guidance in areas like career development, financial responsibility, cooking, and independent living. Residents are provided free housing, utilities, and social services provided they are either working or pursuing some form of post-secondary education.
Our Counseling Services at the Poenisch Counseling Center offers counseling services to the RGV community. We offer individual, couples, family, and group counseling to people of all ages. We have a beautiful counseling center with four offices and a play therapy room.
Together, these ministries form a holistic approach to child welfare, ensuring that children receive the care, support, and opportunities they need to thrive despite the challenges they may have faced in their pasts.
